Hello, if you're just starting to get the hang of make-up or looking to add to your collection, then I hope this post helps.
THE FACE
The first thing you need is a moisturiser. It helps to prep your skin, hold make-up and keep your skin looking fresh.

Then, eyeliners. there are different types of eyeliner, but if you're a beginner, it's better to start with the eye-pencil, rather than the kohl eyeliner or the liquid eyeliner.

The next thing you'll need is eyeshadow, buy them in warmer tones (ask the store attendant about this)
Finish off with mascara. Apply it on both the top and bottom lashes to make your eyes really pop.
THE LIPS
To apply lipstick like a Professional, you first of all need to Buff and Prep. Apply vaseline over a toothbrush ( if they are dry areas, the lipstick won't look even), and buff lips until smooth. Then add a layer of balm. Let it sink in for a few minutes before blotting off excess.
If you want your lipstick to last, then you need to line your lips. Trace the liner around your mouth, then use the same liner to fill in your lips. Then apply your shade of lipstick.
THE EYE-BROWS
Let a professional fix your eyebrows every two to three weeks. On your own, you can use eyebrow pencil and brush to fill it up.

The next thing you need to get is Face Primer or Foundation Primer. Applying it helps smooth
texture, better coverage for your make-up and your make-up lasts longer.

The third thing you need is Foundation and Concealer. When looking for your shade stand in natural light and you your finger to draw a line of foundation down your cheek, jaw and neck. If it blends in seamelessly, it's the right one. If you're still unsure, ask a store expert to guide you. Concealer is so underrated, people never seem to use enough. Remember to conceal around your nose, mouth and eyes with a precision brush, that's usually the problem areas.

Powder is very essential as this helps set your make-up. Suck in your cheeks and sweep it along the hollows of your cheeks, temples, under your chin and lightly across your forehead. Use kabuki brush.

THE EYES
For a simple eye make-up, you need an eye primer (this is not compulsory), it helps the eyeshadow to last longer and gives it better coverage.
