Hello! These past week, I've been shopping for makeup. I've just started to appreciate the art of contouring and so I decided to get a few things to add to my collection.
It's been along time since I bought a bunch of makeup at once, and so I've forgotten how expensive makeup shopping can be. I've only just recovered from the dent I made in my account. I know these products are not high end or something, but as an intern, I'm not being paid and so I live on my allowance.
I got this concealer to Contour and Highlight. I got them in shades Chestnut to highlight, Beautiful Bronze for correcting and Dark Cocoa for contouring. These concealers are quite popular among beauty gurus on Youtube and so I decided to try it out as a beginner in contouring and highlighting.
This powder is quite smaller than it looks. I got the 40gm though. I got these to set the highlighted portion on my face. This is quite popular in the contouring world, especially after Kim Kardashian's makeup artist confessed to using this product.
This contour kit is from a Nigerian brand. This is me trying to support a fellow Nigerian. This is similar to
Sleek Face Contour Kit. This will be used to set my contour. The difference between this and that of Sleek's is that the highlighted portion is matte and so can be used to highlight instead of getting Ben Nye's powder.
These brushes are similar to the
Real Techniques Stippling Brush which I'm using to apply my foundation, and the
Real Techniques Contour Brush which I'm using to set my contour. I decided to get the cheaper ones first and once I'm comfortable with applying my makeup, then I'll get the proper brushes like Sigma and Zoeva. The flat top kabuki is great for blending my foundation which is liquid.
I already have a couple of beauty blenders, but I needed one more to set my face during the makeup application process if you know what I mean.
The
Mary Kay Medium Coverage Foundation in Bronze 607 is great for normal to oily skin which is what I need. I also got the
Mary Kay Oil Mattifier which helps block my pores to control shine.
I've not used this so I don't know what to expect. It claims to keep makeup staying in place all day with a radiance boosting invisible hold. I'll pop i a review later on.
I love the silver packaging though the blush is okay only that you have to build it up, but it compliments my skin colour.
Another lovely product by Zaron, this is in shade Jazz. I love how smooth it glides and it's not sticky. I've tried some gel eyeliners which are literally gel like and sticky. I'll post a review soon.
I love this palette. I'd been saving up to get this. There are different collections to this i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette. Mine is the "aqua collection lagoon". My other eyeshadow palettes are nude-like and so I love how these comes with bright colours.
I'm still undecided about whether this fits me or not. I love the packaging though, it looks more expensive than it really is. I'll review this later also.
This is my favourite purchase from this haul. It's a matte liquid lipstick just like the
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick collection and the
Lime Crime Velvetines, but less their prices. This lipstick applies matte and is quite flattering. This brand is just starting to gain popularity here in Nigeria, but it's quite popular in the U.A.E. I got these in shades LLG42 and LLG14.
So, that's my haul! What do you guys think?
