Hello guys! Liquid lipsticks are all the rave now, from Anastasia Beverly Hills, Lime Crime Velvetines, Kat Von D and so on. Liquid Lipsticks are quite popular because of their amazing coverage. Those brands I just mentioned are quite expensive, so I decided to get a cheaper version and if it works for me, I could save to splurge on the higher end ones.




The Jioney Matte Liquid Lipstick are amazing and dry to a soft matte finish. It's a bit sticky on first application, so you have to be wary of that, but after a few minutes it dries completely. Since it dries completely matte, you have to prep and scrub your lips first in order to have a smooth flawless application.

I got the red shade in LLG42. The color pigment is beautiful! It will look gorgeous on any skintone.

The purple shade on the other hand did not quite fit me. I got it in the shade LLG14. I naturally have full lips, so I try to steer away from lip shades that emphasize my "humongous" lips (this is weird considering the Kylie Jenner lip phenomenon).

Anyways, the purple shade though quite lovely, looked like a costume makeup on me. I looked like I was inspired by Nicki Minaj's makeup artist. The shade will look lovely on any other person with thinner lips though.

Generally, I love the Jioney Liquid Lipstick Shades, and I'm still on the hunt for the nude shades. I got the lipsticks in Nigeria for N1500. I can't seem to find it elsewhere internationally, but there are other drugstore brands that have something similar like L.A girl, Nyx, E.L.F and so on.

What are your favourite brands for Liquid Lipstick? I think I'll prefer to get the Kat Von D next. x
